Egyptian Antiquity-----Early Dynasty 18, c. 1567-1400 B.C.--Heavy Limestone Stele of Meri-Su--extremely rare--carved dedication stele with relief design and incuse lines of hieroglyphics--dedication to Meri-Su (May Re his father love him). Main figure is Meri-Su, wife seated behind, son on right--Sankh...Renef. Lower register: Pa En Im Heri on left, Tch Epu on right. Inscription translates to : "Offering the king gives Osiris, that he might give all things good and pure to the Ka (Soul) of Meri-Su."----14 inches tall x 10 inches wide x 3 1/2 inches deep (back shown)...small chips on edge...Parallel published by Bosticco in his catalogue of the collections of Florence.....(DN-432)....$23,670.

Egyptian Antiquity--22nd Dynasty, C. 930-856 B.C.--Alabaster Vessel--Unusual egg-shaped, alabaster on pointed base with flat bottom--Gracefully shaped walls taper to the small opening (slightly chipped), slightly flared rim. Nice translucent stone with veined striations. 7 1/2 inches tall x 4 1/2 inches diameter--excellent condition save for above mentioned rim--a rare item....(DN-611).....$785
